The members of different staffs that help make a cruise go smoothly deserve the thanks for the hard hours they put into making your life the easiest. Therefore, please think about how they have helped you in whatever ways over the course of the cruise. It is estimated that each adult tip on a scale of $10 per day.

This covers all the parties that deal with your everyday needs including : the cabin attendant, your waiter and head waiter. Most cruise lines will either automatically charge you for the daily gratuity or offer vouchers to give to the staff to avoid the need to calculate the tip and cash.

Most cruise lines now charge a daily gratuity to your on-board ship account. This daily charge eliminates the need to have to individually tip the different crew members.

Extra Gratituities for Food and Beverage

Every food and beverage check will include a blanket 18% gratituity onto the bill. However, there is a spot given to add additional tip. Any tip given here is generally earmarked for the server. So, if that one server was extremely helpful, your are encouraged to give more in tip as that will go directly to that person.
